My elder mother,

想起老妈妈，

Is living in the countryside,

如今她在乡下，

From spring to winter,all year round,

一年四季从春到冬，

Time has turned her grey.

霜染了她的鬓发；

I try to persuade her to move,

劝她外出走一走，

But she says she's too old.

她说老眼昏花，

I urge her to travel.

催她四处转一转，

But she says she's too busy.

她说活儿多放不下。

My child work hard for his money,she says.

孩儿挣钱不容易，

So I 'LL just say thank you for the offer.

这份心意我领啦！

Many elder mothers, like mine,

多少老妈妈，

Are living in ther countryside.

如今都在乡下，

Always they've worked hard.

一生追着日和月，

And their children worry about them.

孩儿心中总牵挂。

Kept busy by the housework.

晚睡早起忙里忙外，

She always has simple meals.

一辈子粗茶淡饭，

I try to persuade her to move,

劝她外出走一走，

But she says the moner's better saved.

她说钱要省着花，

I urge her to traved.

催她四处转一转，

But she says she must tend the crops.

她说田里有庄稼。

People need food th live,she says.

孩儿，苍生百姓食为天，

No hard work,no harvest.

丰收要靠血汗洒。

Many elder mother ,like mine.

多少老妈妈，

Are living in the countryside.

如今住乡下，

The love their children deeply.

恩情就像日和月，

How could we not reciprocate.  

孩儿怎能不报答？
